Tweeting a Water Rocket Launch Day

The last couple of days has been spent testing the technology to provide updates and pictures live from a launch day.

Good news is that we have the technology working now, we send updates to our twitter account as well as the updates appearing on this website. You can see from the left that the last tweet has a URL for a photo that was taken with the Nokia N95 camera and uploaded using Vodaphone’s 3G wireless network.

Even more interesting is that I can receive tweets on my mobile as replies to the messages and photos I upload from the launch day. If you are following on the twitter web site or on your phone … This means a live interactive launch day :)

Just need to get the wrocket ready to launch. The pic I have uploaded is a pic of our first 3 bottle wrocket.

Now for more rocket updates :)

I live near hornsby heights and was wondering what glue you use for splicing???

Hi Josh, you should come join us for a launch day :)

I use PL Premium as my glue although I primarily use Robinson couplings to join the pressure bottles.

Would be interested to hear about your rockets as well

Todd, I think you may be getting a local following going.
Any chance you could let us know a launch date in advance, so we could participate online etc.?
